4th celebrated with well-attended BBQ

July 4th BBQ Party - 2010

This year’s “Fourth of July” BBQ party once more gets a “well-attended” rating as over 100 neighbors gather at the HOA clubhouse and private park to celebrate the nation’s founding. Also present were Hayward Mayor Mike Sweeney (who judged the chili cooking contest) and his wife Maria Ochoa, ex-city manager Greg Jones, and city council member Anna May.

The pot luck affair featured the usual hamburgers, hot dogs, and refreshments together with chili beans cooking and water melon eating contests and other games of fun. Some high school band members played patriotic tunes for the crowd.

Visit the Photo Gallery for more pictures.
